You can download our Homeowners Manual about your aerobic septic system.
An aerobic septic system utilizes oxygen-dependent bacteria to break down and digest the organic matter in household sewage. The system typically consists of a septic tank where the initial settling and partial breakdown of solids occurs, followed by an aeration chamber where the oxygenation happens. Here air is added into the wastewater, stimulating the growth of aerobic bacteria. This results in a cleaner, less odorous final effluent that can then be disinfected and sprayed.
